The story so far
A life in music.
Singer, guitarist, songwriter, recording engineer, producer and author. Based in Melbourne, Australia.
Still a music lover.
Rob Grenville has spent more than forty years playing music. Jazz, R&B, soul, country swing, honky tonk, Cajun and zydeco all find a place in his musical world.
His influences include Ray Charles, Charles Brown, Billie Holiday, Lester Young, Stan Getz and Bob Wills.
For many years, Rob headed the Fly Right Trio, performing the American Standards songbook at more than 2,000 gigs. His musical life has also included playing with the Moonee Valley Drifters.
Alongside performing and recording other musicians, Rob has written songs as a diary of his life. This collection brings those stories to life in his own voice.
